Let’s Design a Romantic Kitchen & Bath

February is all about love. For those of you who love all things cute, pretty, and romantic, Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to glamorize your life and your home! There are so many gorgeous interior design styles, but there’s no better time of year to highlight the beauty of feminine, romantic design than Valentine’s Day.

Our very own Trim Tech Designers, Rebecca and Lindsey, got in the spirit of the season by creating romantic kitchen and bath mood boards. So today, we’re going to break down each of their mood boards, give you some beautiful home inspiration, and get in the Valentine’s Day spirit!

Rebecca’s Romantic Bath Design

“Just as any space I design, I feel romance is an experience… and to me creating an experience delivers to most, if not all, of your senses! To be engulfed in soothing warm water lit by ambient lighting, surrounded by your favorite elegant scents, and listening to the sound of the bubbles sifting around just screams “I Love this moment!”

Lighting

When it comes to setting a mood for a romantic, cozy bathroom, lighting will be your best friend. These gorgeous crystal and brass wall sconces add cozy light without disturbing the peace.

Hardware

Keeping it consistent, Rebecca chose all brass hardware to go with the color palette of the space. Adding a brass “occupied” lock, soap tray, and doorknobs, all of which are both functional and beautiful.

Vanity

The pièce de résistance of the bathroom is the vanity. Not only can you add romantic features to a vanity, but if you have it custom built, then you can design your ideal bathroom vanity matching your own romantic vibe. Make it dainty and feminine for a child or teen’s bathroom or make it classic and elegant for your own master bath.

Trim Tech Designs is no stranger to creating custom vanities, so if you’re generating ideas for your own custom vanity, send them our way!

Accessories & Décor

The details make all the difference, especially when it comes to interior design. Rebecca chose some fun accessory inspo photos that sparked inspiration like a marble perfume tray, slotted bath tray, and a gorgeous antique mirror. When choosing your own bathroom design or creating a mood board, you can pick whatever speaks to you and matches your overall aesthetic! Plus, is there ever such a thing as too many accessories? We don’t think so!

Lindsey’s Romantic Kitchen Design

“A romantic kitchen can mean different things to many people. In the literal sense you can incorporate classic romantic design elements such as moldings, soft curves, feminine colors, or artwork. Others might express romance by cooking for a loved one in a well-designed kitchen. Intimate spaces also feel romantic by styling the kitchen with dim lighting, florals, warm metals, and textiles.”

Countertops & Backsplash

Choosing backsplash and countertops can be one of the hardest decisions when designing a kitchen because it sets the mood for the whole room and is one of the first things people see. These photos give a variety of options for countertops with different color palettes, textures, and patterns that all align with Lindsey’s romantic kitchen vibe. Black and white marble, gray and white hexagon tile, and even a pink marble island!

Kitchen Utensils & Décor

It might not be easy to replace your entire kitchen to fit a specific aesthetic, so one of the ways you can achieve that look for less is by adding décor and utensils. Some of our favorite romantic pieces include a copper pan set, crystal glassware, gold faucets, gold cabinet knobs, and a gold and crystal chandelier. Over time you can curate a collection of items that are not only useful in the kitchen but also bring you joy.

Custom Cabinetry

For those of you who are building a new home or looking to remodel your current space, adding some calming-colored cabinetry is one of the best ways to completely revamp your kitchen and achieve the exact design you want. Trim Tech Designs is experts in all things cabinetry and woodworking, so if you want more information on how to revamp your kitchen, submit an inquiry through our website and we’ll walk you through every step!
